This is a fast-paced modern read. We all know men like this - they seem to have everything in control, including all the women that come into contact with them. This guy's trail of destruction unfortunately includes some pretty gutsy women who eventually win, but not in the manner you might expect. They turn out to be just as creative as he is manipulative. Believable characters and a great (and unpredictable) plot make this an enjoyable and very satisfying read. Highly recommended.
  • The Two Miss Parsons on Jan. 31, 2011

I really enjoyed the journey that the two main characters in this book embark on. It is kind of a "coming of age" book for both the single mother and her teenage daughter. The reader is swept along by the very believable plot and the relationships that unfold both between mother and daughter and the others they encounter along the way.

This is a very funny book about a woman whose life becomes totally absurd when she overreacts to her situation. Its always good to read about the messed up lives of other to put your own life in perspective! A well paced, amusing and enjoyable book.
