Geoff Palmer

Biography

Geoff Palmer has picked grapes in Switzerland, sold cameras on London's Tottenham Court Road and programmed computers in Fiji. He spent eight years working as a professional photographer then changed careers and became a computer programmer working for some of the largest banks and insurance companies in New Zealand and the UK.

Two of his novels – the award-winning Telling Stories and the gripping young adult sci-fi/adventure tale Too Many Zeros – found traditional publishers (Reed and Penguin), but Geoff has now embarked on an indie publishing career. As well as re-releasing his previous books, he's continuing the Too Many Zeros series, working on thriller/detective series (that begins with Private Viewing), writing standalone thrillers (like Payback), and has much more planned. And if that's not enough, Geoff is also a technical writer specialising in IT-related subjects. His features and columns have appeared PC World, ComputerWorld, Net Magazine, the Sunday Star Times, and many other publications. His clear, entertaining and concise summary of complex subjects has won him plenty of enthusiastic readers, and he is the recipient of four Qantas Media Awards for journalism.

Geoff lives in Wellington, New Zealand.
