James Greensweight was born and raised in southern California, where he spent massive amounts of time engrossed in fantasy novels and roleplaying games.
As an adult, he served in the U.S. Army in North Carolina where he met his future wife, Angela.
After leaving the military he attended college and became a high school history teacher in Arizona.
He now lives in Oregon with his wife, son, and two dogs.
