This is a touching and moving story. The descriptive and realistic prose enables a strong connection with the character of David and the story, which at times tugs at the heartstrings, delivers many moments of beauty and romance. The asynchronous timeline takes the reader on a journey through David's past and introduces us to the key ladies within his life. The book was a joy to read and I look forward to N Leacock's next work.
