Brother Steve born Stevie T. Thompson was saved & baptized in 1999. Shortly after he decided to give up rap (being a DJ / producer since 1989 at the young age of 16). Which it didn't last long at all because for him , after losing faith in a church home and family who brought him in the church Steve decided to go back to his old ways of negative rap and street life. Dealing with numerous bad relationships, brother Steve almost took his life because of feeling like a failure in relationships and being fed up of starting a family with 3 different baby mothers and not getting to marriage not even once. After a music associate of 12 years approached him and told him to find another hustle, brother Steve started a local professional car grooming business detailing cars for CEO's, bank presidents, lawyers and local business owners. After discovering the pay he made was enuff to support all his kids and invest back into his music, he ran the business for 2 years before meeting a young lady that brought him back into the church. Even though the relationship lasted only 5 - 6 months Steve discovered that he went back to church & rap music for the purpose of discovering his calling which was ministering thru Christian rap music. Now brother Steve has dropped a single which is intended to reach youth in the church to let them know they can still listen to rap but with a Christian touch. And also to reach out to the youth that are not saved and let them know what god living/living with Christ is all about. He also wants to reach the christian elders to let them know that there is nothing wrong with rap because we all are stewards to the things on god's earth (meaning all music) it's just satin gets a hold of things. Brother steve is here to take it back and do with it what god intended and to preach thru gospel/christian rap music.

q - why did you start cityside ministries and tell us the goal & foundation of it?.
A - our goal is to save souls thru music ministry franchising, a million souls saved & baptized to be exact (1 million franchises) but it won't stop there. Thru our mission of recruiting 1000 unsaved souls ( the young aspiring artist who want to record negative rap/r&b) we want each saved individual to first start the foundation off by getting saved & baptized in jesus name. Then focus on helping other young recording artist start their own franchise of 1000 individuals. (1000 x 1000 =1,000,000) and even when the first franchise starters are gone to heaven the franchise will still automatically be running like we started, constantly saving souls.
Q - what does cityside music ministry consist of?.
A - the ministry consist of a spiritual advisor, gospel male & female artist including brother steve who all minister the word thru thier lyrics & train new artist on how to put together christian/gospel music, a music/booking manager to handle all the ministries artist's business affairs and shows while training them in management, accounting & b0ok-keeping, a studio/music trainer & producer to train new christian artist how to record professionally in a recording studio and run thier own.
Q - what do you think is unique about cityside music ministries?.
A - well the fact that a ministry hasn't been franchised like this and focused especially on saving souls. Some cater to just the saved like most gospel and christian artist/labels do when trying to sell music. Our ministries focus on selling to the unsaved in hopes that they will come over to the lord side and do his work. The harvest is many & the workers is few.
