Sandra Urquhart

Biography

Sandra Urquhart is a single mom of a 15 year old son. She has been writing for about 20 years, venturing first into poetry, and then more a more legal arena. She became an advocate for employees during her 15 years with the USPS, fighting for employee rights and equal employment opportunities.

She joined an outside certified union, avoiding the politics of the contract union. She became a sought after leader, advising many by means of the Local Informer, a union paper that she wrote and edited for one year. During that time, she was responsible for the expansion of this local’s membership, from 50 members to 250 members. She revolutionized the paper, which had become a failed social rag, and turned it into an informative source of news and information that helped employees defend themselves. Several of her articles were reprinted in the National Alliance of Postal Workers and Carriers.

Her focus turned towards more ethereal interests, and she began her first blog posting her bible studies, www.xanga.com/heshewethree where she’s developed a faithful following. She also has articles at http://hubpages.com/profile/Etherealenigma.

Her poetry can be found at http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/421497/sandra_urquhart.html.
