Ian Robert Crawford

Ian Robert Crawford is a poetic prophet with heart and soul. He was born in Gympie to a family who have resided on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia at Cooroy since the early 1900’s on one side of the family and the late 1800’s on the other side. Ian went to school in Cooroy and demonstrated great proficiency in Mathematics and English. After school, he worked first in a clerical capacity, then in the manual and technical trades.

One day out of the blue, Ian was struck by a car whilst crossing the road and his life was forever changed. He spent seventeen weeks in hospital healing and recuperating from head injuries. Upon recovery, Ian found work in hospitality. Thirteen years passed and incredulously, Ian was struck by another car when crossing the road. He sustained head injuries again, however, this time a ‘door’ was unlocked to a higher spiritual awareness. Ian became interested in meditative pursuits and he developed some formerly hidden aspects of his higher consciousness. This extraordinary life journey has enabled Ian to tap into a deeper understanding of his unique spirituality.

Poems of the Second Coming, is Ian’s second book. His first, Poems of Passion, is an esoteric collection of beautiful love poems.

Ian still resides on the family farm, where he nurtures and is nurtured by his fruit tree orchard, the farm animals, his local native species, and of course, his human family.
