J. B. Rockwell

J.B. Rockwell grew up reading fairy tales, folklore, and mythology, as well as anything, everything about ancient cultures and their history that she could get her hands on. And she never lost her taste for any of it. College studies led to a degree in anthropology, but life (and the need to actually earn a salary) led to a career in IT…with a stop along the way to earn a very practical (and somewhat boring) MBA. Currently she’s employed by the U.S. Coast Guard managing software systems and information technology development projects that support their many and varied missions, a job which is never boring and always rewarding. She continues to write in her spare time and is the author of the fantasy novels Breakshield and Seiokana (Books One and Two of the Between series) as well as numerous short stories published in anthologies and e-zines. Born and raised in Connecticut, J.B. Rockwell currently lives in West Virginia with her husband and three cats, all of whom provide inspiration for her stories, whether they know it or not.
