Sarcastic, sassy writer of deliciously spicy, plot-packed stories that celebrate men loving men, often. My passion is ancient Rome.
I've completed my 4 novel m/m historical fantasy series, Dominus. I also publish short stories set in the Dominus universe: Dominus Calendar Series. For more info about me and my stories, check out my author website: https://www.jpkenwood.com
As one lifelong passion continues to fade, another illegal love deepens. Two stand-alone m/m stories of love, lust, and friendship in ancient Rome. A prequel novella set in the Dominus universe by JP Kenwood.
While Rome once again prepares for war, Gaius Fabius Rufus confronts treachery and tragedy at home. Abandoned and angry, Prince Allerix struggles to find purpose and honor in defeat. Fortuna alone can guide these two former enemies back into each other’s arms and hearts. Favorites of Fortuna is the final book in the Dominus saga.
Dominus is a plot-packed m/m historical fantasy set in ancient Rome during the reign of Trajan (AD 98-117). Blood Before Wine is the third book in this four novel alternative history saga—a tumultuous adventure of forbidden love, humor, friendship, political intrigue, deception, and murder.
In this sequel to Dominus, retaliation for the murder of his beloved friend beckons Gaius Fabius home, but his desire for justice could put both him and captive Prince Allerix in mortal danger. Can two former enemies—the conqueror and the conquered—find trust and true love, or are the consequences of war destined to tear them apart? Can Gaius and and Allerix survive the perilous games of Rome?
After a grueling campaign against the kingdom of Dacia, Gaius Fabius returns home to Rome in triumph. With the bloody battles over, the commander of the Lucky Fourth Legion now craves life's simple pleasures. On a whim, he purchases a spirited young Dacian captive and unwittingly sparks a fresh outbreak of the Dacian war; an intimate struggle between two sworn enemies with love and honor at stake.

A fun and fast-paced read that I very much enjoyed from beginning to end. I tagged along on vacation with Jason and his adorable guy and gal friends for a week of lounging on Poodle Beach, seeing the sites (barely dressed hot lads, mostly) and crazy bar hopping. I could smell the sun tan lotion and feel the brutal hangovers. Jason's longing for true love and his devotion to his friends shines brightest. Strongly recommended for lots of laughs and "awws" and "wows" and many head-shaking smiles. And for creepy Crazy Rob.
