What do your fans mean to you?
Just knowing that one person has enjoyed the book and gotten out of their comfort zone and tried something difficult makes all the time spent organizing, writing, and revising well worth the effort.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
There were really two major influences. The first factor relates to growing up in Gary, Indiana before riding school buses was the usual form of getting to and from school so the physical activity of a mile trek in morning and afternoon was something we just took for granted. The second relates to my oldest brother who was a wonderful storyteller and certainly had a huge influence on my collecting stories and quotes in journals for decades. The 26.2 Essential Stories to the Unstoppable You can be viewed as my effort to combine the love of physical activity and in particular running with wisdom of the ages.
