James Viser


Biography

James Viser was born in Los Angeles, California in February 1965. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with a B.S. in International Management and a minor in Economics.

After college, James went to work as an analyst with the international oil and gas giant Amoco, which was subsequently acquired by BP. While working for Amoco, he earned an MBA - Finance from the University of Denver, attending classes during nights and weekends. James is currently a management consultant to the international oil and gas industry, working with senior executives on strategy, investor relations, financial analysis and planning, valuation, media, communications and advertising.

Before joining his current firm, James worked for an independent oil and gas company, raised venture capital as the Chief Financial Officer of an Internet start-up and opened (and then closed) his own business. He also served as an elected delegate for Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign up to the Colorado State Democratic Convention. After being a life-long "Blue Dog" Democrat, James changed his political affiliation to "Unaffiliated," or Independent. James brings his diverse experiences in business, politics, comparative religion and spirituality into his work, creating a unique and page-turning reading experience.

Current projects include AGENTS OF MAYA, the sequel to LIE MERCHANTS, and ICARUS.

James lives with his wife and two children in Denver, Colorado.
