Jamie Sylvian


Biography

Born in London, Jamie developed an interest in marketing and psychology from an early age.
At 17 Jamie’s entrepreneurial instincts had him setting up a business selling oil paintings door to door around the new ‘Green Belt’ towns springing up around the outskirts of London.
He figured that these new houses would need fine new paintings on the wall and so imported oil paintings from all across the globe and developed a team of sales people to knock on doors, show the paintings and take a commission.
Eventually the business developed into 11 teams running weekly art shows in Hotels across the UK. The teams were selling and framing fine art.
Then, having moved on to corporate settings, Jamie was a joint founder of the company that eventually became Uswitch.com, a major UK utilities marketing business. Over 500 sales staff were sent out using Jamie’s marketing strategies.
A professionally trained copywriter, Jamie is now the CEO of Digital Media Publishing Ltd, a business that creates marketing products (e.g. websites, web animations) and ideas to help small businesses in the UK and worldwide grow.
