Biography

Writing a bio has to be one of the most gruelling things to do. Picking what to say about myself is guesswork at best and without any certainty that what has been chosen is found relevant by the reader. Aside from that, the idea is to somehow convey a bit of who I “am” rather than just what I “do”. For example, I am a father of five uber, fantastic, awesome, super cool, can’t say enough about them, kids. I love them to death and wish the best for every moment of their lives. My wife is kinda great too! In my life I have been in the military, managed an agricultural farm, worked as a therapist, engaged in a whole lot of teenage antics I am not as proud of as I am sure that they helped shape the way I am today, and I currently work in an industry that helps keep kids and youth safe. But that is more what I “do” than who I “am”.
One thing that is important to me is my connection to all that is. Some call this “God”, others call it eternity or even quantum mechanics. All I know is that I feel connected and I gain energy and a respect for all people from this connection. Another thing that is important to me is exercising my creative energy in as many ways as I can. I think, I daydream, I paint, I write, mostly I daydream, but I also love to give from my creative endeavours. The most practical way for me to do this is through my writing.
I wrote the novel Hero Rising for myself and for the adventurer in all of us. One thing I would find most excellent is if people read it, talked about it, and felt connected through the sharing of the story. That would be totally cool. To help bring that to fruition I created the web space herorisingthebook.com. It would be nice if you checked it out.
I guess one last thing to share is that I am a reasonably open person. I am open to new experiences, new people, new knowledge, new dreams, and new beginnings. I am open to you, and to those around me. If there is something you are interested in knowing about me, and it is appropriate for me to share it, all you have to do is ask.
I thank you for reading my bio and wish you the best in your journey. Thank you for being a part of mine.
