A very enjoyable read. Characters are developed extremely well. The books prologue gives background details of the hero, Scott, his military background and his recovery from the horrendous injuries he suffered, both physically and emotionally. Early chapters focus on Scott and Katie's enforced separation before flashback chapters show how they met and fell in love. The flow of the book is very smooth and it is very easy to read. The story then shifts to the violent streets of Baghdad where we meet Britney, a flirtatious rich bitch who you will love to hate. It is very interesting to see the relationship between Katie and Britney develop as at first Katie despises her for obvious reasons. Then later in the story when Scott is injured she needs her help so starts to soften towards her a little. I won't give too much away but I really enjoyed the scenes set in Scotland, very romantic and sexy. You will find yourself becoming emotionally involved with the characters, even with Britney. Overall the combination of dialogue and descriptive sections was perfect and the story was not at all predictable, I definitely was surprised in virtually every chapter. Great book, more please.
