John R. Corrigan

Biography

John R. Corrigan was born in Augusta, Maine, in 1970. Along with his wife and three young daughters, he lives at the Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut, where he teaches Advanced Placement English and Mystery Literature, coaches hockey and golf, and may very well be the only mystery writer in America who is also a dorm parent to 15 teenage boys.

John loves teaching and enjoys visiting schools to give readings or run writing workshops. You can reach him at the e-mail address below to schedule a school visit.

A former journalist, Corrigan is the author of a five-book mystery series set on the PGA Tour Tour and praised for its authenticity, characterization, and plotting by critics (Publishers Weekly starred review) and fellow writers (Robert B. Parker, Tess Gerritsen among others). His first short story will be published in an upcoming issue of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.

Using the eBook platform, Corrigan has revised CUT SHOT, including a fresh cover, and is *giving the book away on Smashwords.* In fact, all five novels can now be purchased for the price of one trade paperback!

Corrigan writes a Thursday blog for Type M For Murder (www.typem4murder.blogspot.com/) and holds a master's of fine arts degree in creative writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. He is currently at work on two new series.

He loves to hear from readers and can be reached at jcorrigan@pomfretschool.org or by visiting his Website, JohnRCorrigan.com.
