Biography

Jeffery L. Irvin Jr. has a Ph.D. in early modern European history and an M.A. in nineteenth century United States history. He has been working in the IT world for the last twenty years, involved in a wide array of services from classroom instruction to high-end enterprise deployment. He is the author of several books and academic journal articles.

Describe your desk
My desk is like a medieval torture chamber. It has no function but to induce pain and confession.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up mostly in Northern California. This did not really influence my writing, but it did give me an abiding love of desert life. Compared to life in Northern California, Toledo is Siberia.
