Jennifer Hines
Biography
My name is Jennifer I prefer to be known as Jenna. Born and brought up in Liverpool I consider myself fortunate to have been a young teenager during the swinging sixties. Although an academic, I always knew that some of my talents lay in creativity.
I am certain that my writing talents come from my paternal Grandfather, who was a wealthy mill owner in Scotland in the late eighteen nineties and who wrote several novels about the area where he lived in Dumfriesshire, during his own lifetime.
The challenge of writing my first novel and having it published is I feel my greatest achievement to date. It is titled ‘ANNIE LOGAN was SELF-PUBLISHED and is now available to order via Amazon web-site and Waterstone’s book stores.
My second novel is now complete entitled MR POSTLETHWAITE VANISHES. I am presently seeking an agent/publisher.
Currently I am working on my third novel, which is broadly based on my paternal grandfather's life and hope to have this completed by the end of this year.
I have written several short-stories for children which I hope to have published in the future. A few have already been published in compilations.
I also write poetry and have had many of my poems published.

I read this book in one session and found the story quite 'racy.' It flowed throughout. However I felt the writer gave too much away too soon. I knew from the first couple of pages what the romantic outcome of the hero and heroine would be. Also Nicki was portrayed as a tyrant and a bad tempered chartered accountant. As an accountant myself and knowing the pressures of the profession, I could not relate to Nicki's 'bad attitude' to most people who she came in contact with. Accountant's do have a hard job to do but I have never yet met one who has such a 'hard' exterior.(just an observation)......All in all though I enjoyed the read and it was as most 'romantic stories' a complete switch off to the mundane......on a final note to the author and as a fellow author (my other hat!) I know how difficult it is to ensure grammar, punctuation, spelling are correct, but I'm afraid I found quite a few mistakes in the document...perhaps it would be wise to have someone look over your story for errors before up-loading as an e-book, as errors can be hard to spot when it's your own work. Sorry if I sound 'picky' but I think we should help each other by being constructive with our criticism.
Good luck with all your future work Louise..... Kind regards
