When I read this book description I was sold. My house has been a zoo at various times. But when I read Tip 5 - "If your significant other was ever denied a pet in his/her "previous life", you may be in for a lot of fur." I was sold. In one two year period I had over 30 foster dogs go through my house. This book was filled with comfortable humor as well as the gentle handling of the down side of pets - when they die. The author finds humor in the various situations - human and animal - along with good spirits and calmness that I am not sure I could manage. Anyone who has ever had a pet will appreciate the lengths the author and her family go through in trying to understand and care for their animals. A delightful read!

This is a pulsating bioterrorism thriller. While the biological warfare is scary all on it’s own, the really frightening part is how normal the world surrounding the creation of the weapon is. The logical manner in which the author presents the entire scenario made me realize just how easily this could all happen. Told from several viewpoints with an unlikely heroine, there is just enough science for the non-nerds to get what is going on. The author takes a fictional idea and presents it in a real life way – or maybe it’s the other way around. Either way this was a quick, intriguing read that kept me on the edge of my seat.
