Jerry VanCook

Biography

Jerry VanCook has over 30 years of law enforcement experience in various capacities. In addition to teaching police classes and defensive tactics, he has been a Special Operations Agent the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation; a narcotics investigator for the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department, and an Undercover Intelligence Officer for the Multi-County Intelligence Task Force in Oklahoma. Much of his experience includes undercover work in narcotics, stolen property, murder conspiracy and other crimes. He is currently the Undercover and Narcotics advisor to the National Law Enforcement and Security Institute.

Before embarking on his police career, he was a martial arts instructor. Mr. VanCook is a 7th Degree black belt in Bei-Koku Aibujitsu, holds instructor certification in bowie knife fighting and the title of Blade Master in knife fighting. He is also experienced in a variety of other forms of close-quarters combat. Jerry is on the Council of Advisors for the National Jiyushinkai AikiBudo Association, a member of the Okinawan Karate-do Association, and a certified firearms instructor.

He became a professional writer in 1987 and has written over 70 action/adventure novels in the best-selling Mack Bolan/Executioner,” “Super Bolan,” and “Stony Man Farm” series published by Gold Eagle Books. He is also currently an adjunct professor and teaches Novel Writing at the University of Central Oklahoma.
