Joan Maloof

Biography

Joan Maloof is an ecologist and nature writer. She is the author of "Teaching the Trees: Lessons from the Forest" and "Among the Ancients: Adventures in the Eastern Old Growth." She recently left university teaching to become the founder of the Old-Growth Forest Network, an organization that will identify one forest in each county open to the public and never to be logged.
