It seems most ironic that something I had desperately wished for from a very early age, aggressively pursued for a decade, and finally achieved, had now become a source of anxiety, fear, and angst - being at home alone with Phyliss. The mere suggestion, a few months before, that this dread would be credible, appeared to be a preposterous supposition. Yet, here it was, a reality.
