Smashwords Interview

What is your profession?
I am a 71 year old semi-retired architect, architectural engineer, and urban planner.
What type of books do you read?
I am most sorry to admit, I have never read a book from beginning to end before I wrote “I Married my Teacher.” Even then I wrote, proof read, and edited in such a haphazard way you might say I technically never read it from cover to cover as a single read. I know it is strange, but I just don’t seem to be able to read for enjoyment. It is sad. This mindset has even permeated my writing. I don’t solely write for the readers’ enjoyment but but rather for their learning as well. Every book has benign teaching imbedded in the pages. I inherited this trait from my dear wife. It is rather devious of me. Sorry.

  • Pro-Life v. Pro-Death: Abortions and the Supreme Court on March 23, 2015

This book represents a thorough and scholarly treatise on this important subject rarely seen. It exposes and clarifies the distortions that have pervaded the subject in the public discourse with honesty and fairness. Everyone seems to have a passionate, and yet uninformed opinion. This is a rare opportunity to help make that opinion informed. Catherine says she is not a lawyer. With work like this who needs lawyers, who needs justices for that matter. Her 12 children are indeed most fortunate and now we are recipients of that good fortune. Her prodigious and quality output is most remarkable. Brava, Catherine. Joseph Badame

Mr. Simpson has superbly detailed a useful rendition of the vast differences in justice between our society and others. Americans might well read this and realize the extraordinary freedoms and protections we have. If they do so, they might have a greater appreciation of our good fortune and demand that the abuse and degradation of our system be stopped. Once our freedoms are lost, they will be lost forever. Bravo, Mr. Simpson, we have been properly warned. Now, we must heed the warning, if we have the courage. Thank you for your professional presentation, and your generosity in sharing the story for free! Joseph Badame
