I love being able to share what I have learned with others. I don't believe in hoarding the information for myself. I am happy if I can save just one person from stumbling around searching for the answers like I did.

When I started my career in job development I had no idea what a job developer was and - much to my surprise- my new boss had no idea either! He sent me out on a "vision quest" of sorts to interview other job developers and learn what they did. What I found was that no one really knew- everyone seemed to be making it up as they went! Everyone seemed to be helping people find jobs and career goals, but no one really understood what they were doing. This was the oddest job I'd ever had.

I immediately started compiling information from people who had bits that worked and from books on job searching. Then I started putting together a logical order for doing these things and a process. This was tested over years on hundreds of job seekers and employers. As I learned I grew in my knowledge and my processes changed and then my success increased with my clients. Job development will always be a part of who I am (I can't help but jump in to help whenever someone mentions needing a resume!). I love knowing that anyone who purchases this book will benefit from those years of research and development.

I am now working as a Stand-Up Comedienne and Motivational Speaker. (You'll see bits of my humor in my writing and job workshops ;-) I love laughter and have decided to spend my time bringing laughter to others. I love traveling to new places and meeting new people. Seeing them having fun and laughing is the highlight of many of my days!

My husband and I live on two acres in California's Gold Country. We have two beautiful border collies, 11 grandchildren and 10 chickens (lots of comedic material happening here!) I'm also involved in several projects that may inspire more books along the way!!
