  • Energy - The Awakening on May 13, 2012

Energy has a very natural flow to the story, making it a pleasure to read. The characters in this story draw you into their world, and you want them to succeed in all they do. This story starts with Brighton and Lilian and the childhood friendship they enjoy. This friendship starts to develop into somthing more when outside influences pull them apart. During their time apart they start to discover that they have special abilities. After several years have passed, a chance meeting reunites this couple. Drawing energy from the living things around them, they fight the 'Dark Ones' and try to help the people find a new freedom. With the help of a large black panther and the help of their friends they fight against the new oppression of the people, while looking for a place to call their own. I am looking forward to reading 'Birth of a Wizard'. The second book of this series.
  • Birth of a Wizard on June 30, 2012

I always enjoy reading a book with such likeable characters. They draw you into their world and make you feel as though you're right there alongside them through the journey of their lives. Birth of a Wizard, continues the story of Brighton and Lilan and follows on from Energy quite well. Brighton and Lilian are trying to find a place to call their own and as their life together progresses, they learn so much about their 'magical' abilities. This story has more action than Energy, but it is neccessary to the storyline. With the help of friends new and old, Brighton and Lilan help the people of the Dark Land and those from the lands beyond the pass. They help during the Elf war and rid the Kingdom of the evil that was killing it. Through the joys and adversity of their lives, the love that Brighton and Lilian share continues to strengthen and grow. Birth of a Wizard was an absolute pleasure to read.
