K Lenart

Publisher info

My story is a bit dramatic. I entered self-publishing when my wife and I faced a triple-threat life changing series of events.

She was diagnosed with cancer & lost her job at the same time. I was self-employed, but took time off from projects to care for her. When I tried to work again after her treatments were complete, the economy had tanked and I was only 10% busy.

We suffered financially for the better part of 3 years and came within a hair of losing our house. Thankfully in late 2010 things started to turn around. They're still pretty dicey, but I'm trying to stay optimistic and I keep plugging away at this publishing "second career" to try to make ends meet.

Anyway, I've been at it for a few years now and have a small portfolio of offerings. Hopefully you're here reading this because you find one or more of them interesting. I thank you for all your support from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. If I'm being brutally honest, my latest book "What Really Happened?" which was co-authored with two other talented writers is the best effort yet. It's truly funny, meaty, and professionally edited/presented. If you like intellectual humor, you can't go wrong with that.

Perspective is comprised of a series of essays best described as "Literary Illusions" Each is written such that there is a good chance the reader will make assumptions about the subject matter that are inferred but not stated. However at the end of the piece, the reader may be shocked to find those assumptions were wrong and the topic described may be far off from what was originally assumed.

The "Simple Word Find" series is for Word Find fans. The puzzles are "Simple" yet still fun. But, since most hardware eReaders make it impossible to "write" on the puzzle grid to circle your found words, a short-hand notation answer key is used instead of circling. It's explained in the instructions. Please download the sample before purchasing to ensure it works OK on your own reader.

What Really Happened?
By
Price: $3.99 USD. Words: 43,260. Language: English. Published: August 19, 2011. Category: Fiction » Literature » Alternative history
"What Really Happened?" is a humorous reference text that sets the record straight on a number of well-known (and not so known) events in recorded history. A special message... if you happen to be one of those STUFFY historians that have been harassing us recently; complaining that the facts we've presented are outrageous, untrue, exaggerated, or even simply made up, please go away.
