This story is a contemporary, erotic variation on the Pygmalion story, the artist (in this case writer) who falls in love with his creation. It is nicely told and strangely touching as we see Rose become an increasingly captivating part of her creator's life. He pens story after story just to spend more time with her. As a writer myself, I can relate to his situation, falling under the spell of one's own creation. There is a haunting quality to this story which I found both charming and a strange mixture of sweet and sad.
