Jean Clarke


Biography

Jean Clarke has been a writer since childhood but detoured to an acting career when she was "discovered" shortly after college and offered contracts from all the major studios, appearing in films and sitcoms and as a spokeswoman for TV commercials. She began her professional writing career while in repertory, crafting plays mounted for the company, which eventually led to screenwriting. She wrote for television under contract to Aaron Spelling then went on to MOWs, and later left the film industry to write her first novel "Ain't No Dust in Heaven" available on Kindle. After that came a sequel, a collection of short stories and a departure for Jean - a Science Fiction novella. Jean is also a published poet and an award-winning fine artist who has shown in both single and group exhibits in galleries and museums and was featured at Art-A-Fair in the Laguna Beach Festival in California, where she resides.
