Kerry Alan Denney

Biography

Kerry Alan Denney is the award-winning author of seven novels and numerous short stories and poems. Colleagues and readers are calling him The Reality Bender. All his novels feature elements of the fantastic, blending sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and the supernatural and paranormal genres.

His first published novel SOULSNATCHER, a paranormal thriller, will be released in April 2014 by LazyDay Publishing, and will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, lazydaypub.com, and various bookseller sites in paperback and e-book. His second published novel JAGANNATH, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, will be published in February 2015 by Permuted Press. He is currently writing BEYOND THE VALE, his eighth novel, a high-concept afterlife fantasy.

Kerry has been studying and researching events, projects, places, and people with bizarre undertones for decades—from “Chariots of the Gods” to “Project Blue Book” to dream-related and psychic studies and beyond—accumulating a vast, eclectic collection from which to envision and create an infinite succession of compelling supernatural stories. With multiple awards and publications and seven paranormal novels incorporating his “Reality Bender” brand in his repertoire, he is uniquely qualified to write novels featuring elements of the fantastic and surreal.

Kerry is also a 30-year veteran accomplished guitarist, songwriter, producer, and performing and recording session musician. He's played hundreds of live performance gigs over the years, everywhere from Atlanta's fabulous Fox Theater to venues where the sun never shines and only shadows dare venture. He has written, recorded, and produced four CDs of guitar-shredding rock-n-roll, available here.

Kerry lives near Stone Mountain, Georgia with his faithful friend and invaluable writing assistant Holly Jolly, his seven-year-old Golden Retriever. That's her in the photo beside him. Holly is a very loving and enthusiastic professional therapy dog with Therapy Dogs Incorporated, and is a registered Canine Good Citizen. She's currently participating in a R.E.A.D. program (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) called "Doggie Tales" with the Gwinnett County Library System's Mountain Park Branch on the first and third Saturdays of each month, and "Read to Rover" with the DeKalb County Library System's Sue Kellogg branch on the fourth Saturday of each month. She's a hit with the kids, like a furry four-legged rock star minus the rad shades and leather regalia. She also visits Sunrise Senior Living, a local retirement home/ hospice, where she's making lots of new friends.
