Biography
I am an illustrator working and living in the UK, in the beautiful town of Kingston-upon-Thames.
I have a young daughter, Eliza, and was inspired to write and illustrate these simple dual-language story-books after failing to find any books for children in English and French, which have the two languages running concurrently.
My husband, Eliza and I live very near the river Thames, so I set the story in the little park near us, which is right on the river, and where we feed the ducks and swans every weekend. The park also has a beautiful little bandstand which features various performers every Sunday throughout the summer, so I thought it would be cute to include that too. And of course the park is always full of children and dogs having fun so I dreamed up the Best Buddies one day, Maya, Ping and Amy, who are based on three of Eliza's friends.
Look out for more stories set in and around Kingston, which I am planning right now. I also want to expand the languages available, with German and Russian high on my list.
