Mark Coker Is as entrepreneur and a strategic ommunications consultant, who has had plenty of experience in his field. Mark illustrates through the use of proactive thinking case examples of good and bad public relations, with the intention of what to avoid and what we should use to market and promote ourselves. He makes you think, so you start to ask yourself a few basic questions such as; What do I want? Where do I want to be in five years time? How do I get there? He recommends a self audit. He talks about your message, strategies and micro-plans to reach your goal. He elaborates further by recommending that you audit your vision against an analyst model which measures the ability to execute a plan against the completeness of your vision. Sort of like a line drawn upon a mathematical graph. Mark gives some very sound public relations advice which any author born with a modicum of common sense should avail himself of. Just as an aside, Mark talks about winning the game, but for me personally I would say most authors are already winners when they have created something they can be proud of and other people like themselves enjoy it. However If you want to play the game and be a winner in the public's eye then buy Marks book it is a very good brief introduction to the world of public relations. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to public relations and marketing yourself. Vito Veii

Well, the best way I can describe this book is short, interesting and informative. In the space of 8 pages Charles Weinblatt, has made me aware of websites that I did not know existed, where I as an author can promote myself. He mentions quite a few websites actually and that alone makes the book worthwhile reading. He also informs us of the ways you can promote yourself through blogs and book reviews. He mentions finding articles on the internet that are related in some way to your books and leaving comments with a link to your book. Finally he touches upon social networking, websites and search engines. This book is a good bargain for $1.99!! Vito Veii (yeah well I am not going to leave a link like charles suggested in his book, I just wanted to review a good book.)

"Tales and Tombs of Fantasy" is a book of poetry and prose divided into two sections. To me these two sections represent two different books in one. However the author has chosen to address this work as a book so I will refer to the two books as sections. The first section is called "Tales of Fantasy" it has 13 poems. I enjoyed reading 5 of them, the other poems were too full of blood, guts, and gore, being somewhat squeemish I found them difficult to digest. However the Second section of the book entitled "Tombs of Fantasy " I found more to my liking. For me the poetic prose presented very strong vivid imagery to my mind's eye. I found some of the poems very moving, In particular, "Blessed Walk". In the poems "Death" and "Entrance to Eternity" I enjoyed the paintings of the poetic imagery presented in a juxtapositioned manner.I liked "Journey Home" it reminded me of near death experiences. If you have ever read anything about near death experiences many of the people are given to understand that the earth that we live on is not our real home. That eventually we will be returning to where we really belong. Even though I didn't like some of the poems I am giving this a four because the poetry he wrote moved me at times. If Poetry affects you in this manner it must be good.

Prior to reading "Painting Nature" by Fleming Calder I suggest you pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable. Fleming paints a very vivid picture of nature, yet peaceful and calm. It is as if he has captured moments in nature and frozen them for us to inspect. At times I could just imagine myself sitting under a tree, near a bubbling brook looking out across the flowers in the field, observing the leaves on trees “yellow, red and golden brown." I liked most of the poems in particular; Summer Sensation, Autumn On The Rhine, Lotus Petals, Eternal Art, and The Hour Glass. The poetry made me feel warm, pleasant and peaceful. In my mind's eye, he painted his pictures very well; I went to where he wants to take us.
