Kathy Rae knew from the age of eight that one day she would be an author. It took going to Fountain Hills, AZ to awaken the purpose for which she was born. "The Jewel of Hope, Book 1 of The Hope Trilogy" was birthed in her heart as she observed the statues and eight foot junk horse surrounding their man-made fountain lake.
Kathy lives in eastern Washington where inspiration for stories abound. She has taken the Institute for Children's Literature course and is a member of Jerry Jenkins Writer's Guild, the American Christian Fiction Writers and Spokane Authors and Self-Publishers group.
"A full book can be inspired just listening and watching people. The characters in my books remain in my heart because they are all bits and pieces of people I've met in my life-time," Kathy Rae says. "If I can encourage just one person to celebrate who they are because God made them to have a relationship with them, then I am blessed that they discovered that treasure in one of my books."
