Peter F. Dodds

Biography

I was born to a German mother and father, relinquished to an orphanage and then adopted by an American couple, one of 10,000 German children adopted by United States citizens during the 1950s-1970s.

My autobiography, Search Inner Journey Outer, is the first book written by a foreign born adoptee on the subject of international adoption. As an author, I've been interviewed on television, radio and the Internet. My international speaking engagements include keynote speaker at New Zealand's National Adoption Conference and keynote speaker at Canada's Adoption Experience 2012 Conference.

In addition to being an author and screenwriter, I've served in positions as a member of the Washington State Legislative staff, Director of an international program for the U.S. Olympic Committee and was an elite' Airborne-Ranger when serving as a U.S. Army officer.

I've completed the screenplay adaptation to have Outer Search Inner Journey made into a feature film.
