KYLE AISTEACH lives with his husband, two cats, a dog, and a tank full of tropical fish in Fresno, Calif. Before turning to fiction writing, he worked in the education and outreach group for a major NASA observatory. He feels a strong personal connection to his subject matter because his friends often refer to him as a Neanderthal.
