Biography

Retired, but during his working career the country’s leading specialist consultant
in the Law of Education.
Currently accredited guide to Eton College
(and author of “An Accidental School – vade mecum for visitors to the historic heart of Eton College”).

Presently a member of the London Diocesan Synod and sometime of the London Diocesan Board of Education.

Now editor of “Clarity” (Mensa Christian Forum); formerly regular columnist (“Free Lance” – humorous slant on current affairs) in the
Bulletin of the Education Law Association; author or editor of various text books, encylopaedia and other productions for national agencies and governmental departments such as the Further Education Development Agency.
Winner of literary prize in the Haringey Arts Festival and short-listed in (Radio London?) “Read All About It” short-story
competition and B.M. Magazine competition; frequent contributor to technical journals, Times Educational Supplement, Classical Association
News, “Pass” and other publications.

Frequent but occasional broadcaster (numerous quizzes, chat shows, news and current affairs
bulletins).

First person to win Brain of Mensa more than once and first triple-winner; only person to have won both B.o.M. and “University Challenge” (Open University team – a cause celebre in
1999).

Sometime President of the Mastermind Club.
