Laney Sinclaire

Biography

Shamelessly addicted to reading (anything she can get her hands on), Laney has been a lit nut for as long as she can remember. Though Laney has only recently begun publishing her work professionally, she has been writing academically and otherwise for years.

Hopelessly addicted to HEA, Laney often gets caught up in the world she both creates and reads about.

If you liked her work, please stop by her twitter and drop her a line (or leave a review). She'd love to hear from you.

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
I absolutely adore Kresley Cole. I think what she's doing for the Paranormal Romance genre is nothing short of amazing. Great characterization, great characters, sexy relationships and writing that gets better with each new release.

I'm also a huge Margaret Mitchell fan. Scarlett is one of my favorite heroines of all time, and Rhett a favorite hero. Even though it's an idealized vision of the South that I'm going to assume isn't wholly accurate, it's the story in Gone With the Wind and relationship between Scarlett and the people around her that I'm drawn to - her never give up attitude. Nothing is particularly easy, but often Scarlett, through her stubbornness, is just making things more challenging than they need to be - which is so fun to read about. It's a story that I come back to time and time again, and with each read through I glimpse something a little different than the last time I read it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
My life is pretty consumed with writing and reading. If I'm not writing something, I'm probably editing. If I'm not editing, I'm probably reading some fiction or nonfiction or something metaphysical - I'm a genre jumper, that's for sure.
