What is your writing process?
I am definitely a plotter. I get a story in my head and I can see it from start to finish. But before I actually sit down to write it, I have to make an outline. Sort of like a road map. I know where the story begins and where I want it to go, but I have to map out how I'm going to get it there. But that's not to say that sometimes the characters don't lead me down a detour or insist on taking the scenic route, because that happens a lot!
What do you read for pleasure?
The same thing I write. Romance! I've been reading romance novels for many, many years. It's a passion I share with my mother, one that began by me just randomly picking up one of her Danielle Steele books one day. And at the height of my obsession, my mom, my grandma and I would each buy a different romance novel and then after we each read our purchase, we would trade. So we would each read three books a month that way, and when we were done, we'd go to the store and we'd do it all over again! That was our little book club for several years. My grandma's gone now and I miss that.
