Biography

Jean Michel Le Gall, the author, is a former Paris University member. He has a doctorate in Philosophy. He taught for several years human sciences. He has discovered Tarot de Marseille and Yi King twenty years ago when he was carrying out into a deep research regarding symbolism. He has considered for a long time an extraordinary event regarding Middle Age, the prophecy women movement. This movement ended with the burning alive of Joan of Arc, the last Prophetess. This chronicle explains the most mysterious card of the Tarot de Marseille: The Popess.

Why a philosopher is interested by the tarot ?
Because, the Tarot de Marseille is one part of the history of the occidental philosophy. It is coming from a long and very mysterious tradition.
Your book is only an historical book ?
Not a all, of course. Many people are now in stress with what they can watch in TV, in newspaper or in their life. Our occidental society shows there are too many bad things. Very poor here, very rich there ! And what else ? We have lost the way of our life. There is no answer from the "genius" ! We are alone... in the dark ! So, there is may be an other way. It was the reason of my works regarding Tarot de Marseille and IChing. If, we cannot get confidence in our "genius", what happen in our past ?
