A young noble has a mountain of a problem in his back yard, and he must seek the unfamiliar help of an alchemist to deal with it. But the help he receives is not at all what he expects. A fantasy short story
While I've loved her other work, I put this book down. The believability and relatability factor with Fiona died the instant she decided that being knocked out and kidnapped didn't really matter: he had to be a good guy 'cause he was taking care of an abandoned pup. Uh-huh. And this is a housebound agoraphobic? Being sheltered and a wee bit of the same, I just couldn't believe it anymore. The writing was excellent, as always.
