Lisa Jeannine

Biography

For as long as I can remember, books have been an important part of my life. As an only child for the first nine years of my life, I often became part of the adventures in my Dr. Seuss collection and Little Bear was one of my closest friends. From the time I learned how to read, I have always had a book in my hands.

I have always loved the way a good writer can pull the reader in to a story the way V.C. Andrews transported me into the story of four children living in an attic. Flowers in the Attic, was the first of a series chronicling the fate of the four children into adulthood through various triumphs and tragedies. Fiction has been a place that I found I could really use my imagination.

Early in my adult life, I started writing but life had a way of re-prioritizing my life. I have come back to my love of writing combined with a desire to find ways to help grassroots organizations. My writing goals are to entertain the reader, help educate, and be able to provide much needed funds for non-profit organizations. Each written project, fiction or non-fiction, will be dedicated to a different organization.

Other written works can be found on Yahoo!Voices where I am a contributing writer.
