One thing Dan excels with is characters, and this book he really shows his skill. What do you get when you take 8 real people and throw them in a single locked house for the better part of two weeks?
The people are real, with faults and virtues, the setting works so well, snowed in with no escape. But Dan manages to bring as much humor and laughter as he does spine-tingling chills.
Definitely worth a read or 3.
