Fear of the Father

Crockett is not a guy you'd ever want to cross. Not that he's mean or cruel, well, maybe a bit. But he is the kind of guy that finishes what he starts.
And he's as loyal as all get out.
So it's best to have him on your side.
I loved this book. While it does definitely fit into the adult category thematically, it doesn't get into any graphic details. The language can be a bit spicy at times, but what do you expect from an ex-cop?
The characters David has created here made me feel comfortable. They're fun, funny and witty. At least the good guys are. The bad guys are thankfully minor characters in terms of the time they get to spend on stage.
If you're looking for a good book to curl up for on a cold winter weekend (or on the beach in Cancun for that matter) then you should have this on your ereader.
And don't forget to call him Crockett. He likes it that way.
