  • The Blood Moon of Winter - 2nd Edition on Feb. 28, 2011

I found this book to have a different writing style then I am normally used to and found it to be refreshing. The ideas and elements put into the story line were new and original. This book will definitely have you turning pages to see what is happing next. The stories development through out the whole progression of the story, I found was as smooth as silk. Courtney Conant paints a gorgeous picture of a new land that I definitely would love to visit and a love interest that will have you falling in love with him. I'm anxiously awaiting the sequel. I would suggest you give this new author a try. Please Come By To My Blog For AUTHOR INTERVIEW: WereVampsRomance.blogspot.com
  • Shadow Cat - The Striped Ones: Book 1 (Shapeshifter Romance) on April 01, 2011

What a steamy read this was! This book has a very different storyline then I am use to. Which of course I find completely refreshing! It takes place in Malaysia. Which is a 1st for me. I loved hearing the beautifully described tropical rain forest, full of histories and colorful culture. The main characters are Berani who is a Whertiger, and down to earth Eric are drawn to each other so strongly. Despite their language barrier, they somehow found a way to communicate. I Don’t forget Brian. I loved his flirtatious and witty personality. The Ending was great. I loved how it draws you in, till you feel you are there. I will leave you feeling completely satisfying. It will keep you wanting more till the very end. What is a book with out something to freak you out. Okay maybe not all people, but this totally got me. The Penanggalan. Ewe. What’s that you ask? It is a nasty thing. The only way for me to describe it would to give you a little quote from the book. Page 62 (Nook - Normal Font) “A Penanggalan - the jinjangs minion - the cause of so many illnesses and deaths amongst her people. From the neck, a stringy mass of veins drooped and suspended disemboweled organs. The lungs deflated, and a vapor drifted from it's nose, saturating the air with a vinegary stench. A long proboscis-like tongue slithered from its mouth and undulated like a snake as it lapped the back of the human's head with a revolting slurp." Like I said, Ewe. Over all I really liked this book, and would totally recommend this to anyone willing to take a new adventure.

  • Hidden - a dark romance (Marchwood Vampire Series #1) on June 24, 2011

This was an amazing read. I could not even begin to put it down. So many twists and turns. Shalini Boland does an incredible job with originality and her writing style is spectacular. I really want to see this as a movie, or television show. The world setting and character were so well written you can literally see the story play out as you read. The storyline grabs you from the beginning, with suspense, romance, and mystery. The pace keeps the story moving, till the end, and what an ending it was. I found nothing distastefully with this book. A definite NYT Bestseller in my opinion. One I'd love to see another book to. Although I normally make small individual reviews, this series has me doing the rare combined review. I LOVED this series. I do mean L.O.V.E. This series NEEDS to skip everyone's to be read lists and go straight to BUY. This series, entirely, had me entranced. I did not stop, not even for air. This series is great for men and women alike. There is no doubt in my mind that this series can easily make for an amazing muti-million (Hundreds) dollar movie series. With all that being said, on with the review. The writing style was masterfully done. Everything was perfectly balanced. The characters were done flawlessly. Their realistic personalities, combined with the richness in the detailed world, blurred the lines between real and fantasy. The author has an uncanny way of drawing you so far into the story-line that you can easily lose yourself. The pace was unrelenting. It never let me peel my eyes away from the pages of the story. It kept my eyes at bay with the twist and turns, edge of your seat, burst of humor, and the lively playfulness. The plot's climax could bring you to your knees. The only disappointment I had, was like all things, the book came to an end. All three of these books easily made a 5 star rating, with mind blowing grace. ~~ http://werevampsromance.blogspot.com/
