Lynne Garner

Biography

I’ve been writing and crafting for as long as I can remember. However I began writing professionally in 1997 when I started to write a monthly three page column for Popular Crafts magazine.

Since that time I have had 23 books and more than 200 magazine features traditionally published. My books have been published in UK, USA, Canada, Holland, Australia, Korea and Indonesia. My first picture book ‘A Book For Bramble‘ has been translated into five languages and my second book ‘The Best Jumper‘ has been recorded and aired on the BBC’s CBeeBies radio channel.

When I’m not writing I teach a range of writing and craft courses for the WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) and creative writing courses as eCourses. I also run workshops for teachers and visit schools and local after school clubs to give author talks.

I’m always looking for new challenges, so if you’re in need of an author with a proven track record please feel free to contact me via my website.

Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When not writing I'm either teaching, preparing paperwork for the workshops I teach or enjoying a long walk with the dog. When dog walking I tend to take my camera with me and between ball throwing I try to take a few quick snaps of the wildlife the dog has managed not to scare off.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Most of the books I read are written by friends or are books my friends have read, enjoyed and suggested I might like.
