  • Fragments: A Collection of Short Poetry on July 16, 2011

I just finished reading “Fragments: A collection of Short Poetry” by Steph ‘Vixey’ Acaster. If I had to choose a tone of the poems I would say - introspective. If I had to choose a favorite it would be “Gravity”. The beauty of poetry is that it, like art, is personal and therefore subject to interpretation. Prior to reading "Fragments" I had not read a book of poetry in years this was a great way to be reintroduced. Marsha L. Randolph
  • Pray What God Says on Dec. 10, 2011

Pray what God says is a easily read book on Christian basics. Using numerous scriptures the author Christine Brooks Martin introduces the non-believer and young Christian to a few biblical principles. For the more advanced believer the book contains a great selection of scriptures based on topics such as: Spiritual Growth, Family, Finances, Career, Students, Health and Intercession. Though it is important for everyone to read the bible for themselves and ask Father God for understanding this book can only help. M L Floyd
  • Dark Hearted on June 09, 2012

One of the reasons I do not like the action adventure thriller type movies of today is that it contains an excessive amount of unnecessary foul language, action so extreme that it becomes makes the story line unbelievable and naked women who add nothing to the movie. Books are so much better. “Dark Hearted”, by D. I. Telbat, is what I would consider the perfect suspense book. Continuing the activities of COIL, a team of specialized agents trained to rescue Christian missionaries from persecution, this is book two of what looks to be a great Christian influenced series. A combination of Dog the Bounty Hunter and Mission Impossible the team put their lives on the line traveling all over the world while on their missions. What makes a book great is the amount of involvement the reader has with the characters. With “Dark Hearted” I was captivated from the beginning compelled to continue reading. A good book takes you where the characters are. As I read: I was jumping out of the plane with the team, riding in the car avoiding capture, passing off secret documents, I was in New York, I was in Paris and I was in America. “Dark Hearted” is a fast paced book with adventure on every page so much better than a movie. I cannot imagine a person trying to read this book over a prolonged period of time. Plan to shut the television off and read “Dark Hearted” over the weekend. I was given a complimentary eBook in exchange for an honest review.
  • Dark Rule on April 22, 2013

It is true that I have become bias when it comes to books written by D. I. Telbat, however, as with any book in a series there is an expectation from the reader that each book has to be better than the last and I have enjoyed the Coil Series thus far, though perhaps not as exciting as the first (nothing really is) it is still a good read. “Dark Rule” the third book in the Coil Series by D. I. Telbat can better be appreciated if you have read” “Dark Liaison” and “Dark Hearted” (books one and two respectively). Since “Dark Vessel” will be released sometime this year I think it would be well worth the reader getting all three books now. I have come to think of the Coil series as the “mission impossible” for Christians. The mission in this book is to rescue Chen Li a COIL agent from the hands of evil. Commission of International Laborers, a group of Christian individuals trained in to fight the powers of darkness in a non-deadly fashion use their skill on the most dangerous of places around the most violent people. As with the other books in the series “Dark Rule” by D. I. Telbat is entertaining, suspenseful and suitable for all readers. It does not contain sex or extreme violence. Because this is the 3rd in a series the end becomes anti-climatic yet unlike the other books I was able to reflect on the bigger picture which is the plight of Christians throughout the world who do not have the freedom to worship openly. Despite my obvious bias I do recommend you read this book. Though the reader will be able to follow the story without purchasing the first two in the series there will be a better appreciation for the essence of the series (the difficulties of Christian missionaries) if each book is read. I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Marsha L Randolph
  • Sea Scribe: A Covert Christian Mission Suspense on Aug. 27, 2013

The key to an excellent action adventure book is one that starts out with more questions than answers; Sea Scribe is such a book. • What happens when Laura believes she hits someone while driving under the influence of alcohol and decides to run? • What Happens when Troy starts out on a trip that he has planning for years to carry out a God given purpose and not only encounters Laura but a few other individuals? • Will the underground network be revealed to the authorities? You will be unable to stop reading, compelled to read more as you try to connect all of the dots of this adventure in the Ocean. How does a man on a solo mission have so many visitors, including a cat? Sea Scribe by D.I. Telbat goes beyond action, adventure and Christian Fiction which should capture the attention of anyone who craves a well written book. If you have never read a book by D. I. Telbat you are in for a treat when you read Sea Scribe . One of the reasons why I appreciate D.I.Telbat as an author is his ability to present a truth regarding religious persecution without being preachy. He is by far my favorite author and I always make room to review one of his books. Sadly as with : Dark Hearted, Dark Liason and Dark Rule are in eBook form so is Sea Scribe , I would love to have these books in print on my book shelf. I recommend that you purchase Sea Scribe .
  • God's Colonel: An End Times Christian Novel on Sep. 02, 2013

I could not say “GOD’S COLONEL” is the most important book D. I. Telbat has written because I am sure there are many more significant books that will be released in the upcoming years. However, because I love to talk about faith and politics and I am an American citizen this book has added significance. As believers we know that there will be an end time, we just don’t know when. “GOD’S COLONEL” chronicles how a new world order can be established in the United States by successfully blending Bible prophecy with the political ideologies we see developing throughout the world. If you have read any of Mr. Telbat’s books you may be use to fast paced international stories, not so with “GOD’S COLONEL” if you are not a D. I. Telbat fan you will have no clue what I am writing about. The characters are everyday people trying to survive the trials and tribulations of life, like many of us. How do people respond when faced with the need to survive? When you have needs and the government is offering you handouts do you take them? How does your faith influence your life? “GOD’S COLONEL” is an important read for all believers. We do not know the day or the hour in which Jesus will come but we do know what is going on today. This book is a wake up to many believers, I believe Americans in particular. “It wasn’t as if he was working for the Antichrist or anything! He was simply bringing peace to America, and there was certainly nothing wrong with peace.” (Chapter 9 Location 898 of 3030) I recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a review.
  • Dark Vessel on Feb. 23, 2014

DARK VESSEL is the fourth in a series of books by D. I. Telbat that describes the missions of C.O.I.L. an organization out to help Christians in distress. It is a Christian suspense novel which means blood and gore, sex and violence are not incorporated within the pages of this ebook, nor the others in the series. Despite the absence of what most popular novelist believe are necessary to make a book worth reading, I promise you, you will not miss the absence of these “marketing gimmicks.” I believe the lack of these secular exploits improves the flow of the story line. As with the other books in the series DARK VESSEL is filled with suspense, action and of course an exciting yet purposeful plot. I so appreciate the writings of D. I. Telbat which is why he is one of the few fiction writers whose books I will review without hesitation. I would have been surprised if the book had been anything but exciting. I received a complimentary ebook in exchange for an honest review. Despite my obvious bias I recommend DARK VESSEL because the book is that good. I would have to caution you that it would be best that you read the other three in the series before reading DARK VESSEL. In the following order: Dark Liason: A Christian Suspense Novel; Dark Hearted; Dark Rule then Dark Vessel. Like any book in a series it can be very irritating to read a book and then discover you like the story line and then have to play catch-up. Available on Amazon and Smashwords

Until recently I did not know what a "tart" was despite having used them. I came across this book looking for books on candle making as I have researched the process I decided that I wanted to add tarts to my list of projects. The instructions in this book are easy to follow and many of the resources agree with the instructions I received on YouTube. If you are looking for a project or a unique gift idea try making tarts.
