Mary Woodbury


Biography

Mary Woodbury was born in Louisville, Kentucky, lived most of her life in the Midwest and in southern California, and currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After obtaining a BA in English and anthropology from Purdue University in 1993, Mary has been an editor and writer, starting with Prentice-Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mary is the editor of Jack Magazine, a decade-long web journal honoring the nature and ecology of several literary movements emanating from the Beat authors of the 1940s and 50s.

Mary is the owner of Moon Willow Press, a small press focusing on celebrating the written word while helping to sustain natural forest lands. MWP's publishing interests are fiction, non-fiction, and prose that deal with environmental issues. Mary is also Fraser Riverkeeper's Director of Outreach, a Vancouver organization that acts as a water steward for the beautiful Fraser River.
