This is a beautiful story. I cried when I read it the first time. The writer’s extraordinary imagination transported me right back to my childhood, when in my head I used to live in a silver castle, wore a jewelled crown, rode on my horse Samson by day and flew on the magic rug by night... Thank you.
Terror, helplessness, questioning of everything that you thought you knew...
Best time to read it is on a stormy night by a roaring fire.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Found the story beautifully crafted and clever, though perhaps a little too wordy at the beginning. The rest reads very well.
The writer has the ability to sensitively address complex life issues by telling wonderful stories like Bramblewood.
I found Bramblewood exciting, funny, chilling and heart-warming at the same time. every moment you expect something and something else happens: it's full of surprises. With its twists and turns it's well structured and well paced.
Never a dull moment: once I started reading, I couldn't put it down.
