Maryelle

Biography

I'm a senior citizen who has written (though never published) poetry most of my life for my own amusement and that of my family. I, along with my husband, adore the written word and we have a pretty good sized library to attest to that fact. We craft and garden, taking our products to fairs in the surrounding area. I am a grandmother and greatgrandmother and have 6 cats (which keep the property free of rodents and snakes) and one dog (who does nothing but brings a great deal of happiness).

  • Of No Consequence on April 04, 2011

Another great read by Sonia Rumzi, Of No Consequence, relates the plight of many women in the middle east culture who, taken of advantage by stronger, merciless males driven by their own sexual passions, are blamed for somthing not of their making or participation but "for honor" are murdered by their husband or male family members. Wonderful read even though the subject matter is an all too familiar horrific scenario.

Never Call The Doctor: Another riveting story, by Sonia Rumzi, of a deranged mind inhabiting the body of a peson most people trust with their lives and, therein lies the crux of the problem. This sociopath IS a doctor who really does think taking lives of those he chooses is his destify. Great read!

A winner! I have just read "It Could Happen Again," a short story by Sonia Rumzi, that follows one woman's plight as she tries to extricate herself from an abuse alcoholic husband and fights a system that disregards the dangers of an unhinged mind to give the father access to their children. It is an age old scenariio with a rather unnerving ending. Great read!
