In Arthur's Footsteps
Rowland Thomas Knight is the seventh son of a seventh son, whose lineage stretches back to the day of King Arthur Pendragon. At 17, Chas Winter was part of a group that brutally bullied Donald Bracken. The weedy teen Donald was compelled to make the bullies pay, joined the Army, and became a highly skilled assassin. With his skills honed, he returned and the serial killing of his tormenters began. Chas Winter was now a police officer. Tasked with stopping the deaths, he learned the dreadful consequences of his acts.
Detective Cameron Fuller, still haunted by the loss of his little brother to baby snatchers, is faced with an eerily similar case 30 years later. As his team of likeable, intelligent police colleagues investigates the snatching of Mandy-Jane Olsen, the dark underbelly of New Zealand society is revealed. Greed is a strong motive, but revenge is even stronger.
