Michael Taylor

Biography

Mike Taylor is retired from the Mathematics Department of the University of Central Florida. He taught at UCF for thirty-five years and is now in the Faculty Protection Program. His current title is Professor Emeritus. When his children asked about the word emeritus, he explained it meant "embalmed." Mike has three sons, three grandchildren, and a cat. He can often be found in a certain coffeehouse on Park Avenue in Winter Park where he divides his time between doing mathematics and writing science fiction/fantasy. The rest of the time he can be seen at the side of the road holding up a sign that reads "Will solve quadratic equations for food!"
