- Temperature: Dead and Rising
on May 21, 2011
The cover attracted this reader to want to read what was between the covers. Thinking it was another zombie book, I was pleasantly surprised by the writings and incorporation of all sorts of characters from vampires, werewolves, ghosts, even the Sac squash creature, oh don't forget the shift changers. The book borders on horror but there are comedic scenes in it. I read one to my teens and they went off to debate making up their own fantasy characters.
The sarcastic twist on life in general keeps the reader entertained and compels them to want to complete this short story. The lure of wild insane lusty sex about to occur and proof, The tricks and devices to contain the characters are genius; golden handcuffs, liquid portions, and other trinkets. The traitors following their enemies. The fighting scenes. The visions of horrific death, makes the reader's heart race. The addition of other characters being hunted and the action scenes make this book worth the purchase price alone. The element of chase keeps the rider anticipating the capture or rescue of the heroesas they are chased into hid-outs.
The conclusion is powerful yet leaves the reader wanting more. 4.5 stars if possible. 4, can't mark .5 star.
In the author's words; The coming trial looked bleak. There were only so may ways that a you dismember a body, unless Mathyas was busy dreaming up new and crueler ways to deal the sentence out. Bo would not put it past him to try out new twisted torture to liven up the crowd.
This is a keeper and should be stored in your library. A book to take out to chase away the blues at the same time get your heart racing.

on June 04, 2011
This book is book two of the “The Days and Months” trilogy. And from page one to the conclusion it was stylishly written with in depth and severe emotional complexity. It stimulated this reader's mind. Each event crept into this reader's soul. There were times when I laughed, there were times when I cried, it was a trip into the surreal. It was definitely a satisfying escape from the world's troubles for a while. Book 2 continues from the end of “The Days and Months We Were First Born, The Unraveling”. This one is “Family by Fate”. It starts with Martin suffering from shell shock when he realizes what happened to his beloved NY city. It was gone, no more, destroyed by a nuclear explosion. A laboratory experiment went wrong. The events that he experienced sent chills down this reader's spine. This book is a provocative stimulating mind blowing story of what one would do to save someone they love. The character tries all avenues of seeking a resolution to locating his missing sister, who was kidnapped in a foreign land. After all of his attempts to find her are exhausted. He is about to surrender hope and abandoned the search. Then he receives a cryptic email that sends him on a surreal journey into the mysterious voodoo culture and mystics. This book is short but pack with details and at times should be almost rated x rated for mature audiences. It has graphic details, steamy lustful scenes and primitive trappings. He is stripped of all human essence to evolve to the primitive state of animal instinct. He has to prepare himself to journey into the deeper strange jungles at his last desperate attempt to join heart and soul with his sister. He sacrifices anything, "anything” to bond with his loved one again. This book is a powerful heart wrenching tale about human love and the boundaries which need to be broken to surrender to defeat or hope. It is worth the time to explore this author’s writings. 4 stars
- Spoon-fed Addiction

This book is powerful action story; it is rated for 18 and above for a reason. It is for mature audiences. It is filled with graphic and raw emotions tricky language. This story was written by a poetic artist who pours out his gift in to a fast paced tale with words that stir the soul. The writing style is of a rhythmic realistic life description of a drug dealer and the conclusion of his actions towards himself and others. It describes the harsh choices of this character and the reality of what life could be depending upon his choices. This man-child loses his way and was led by dark forces to become discouraged and choose the path which could destroy his destiny and all he cherished, or to choose a different path. A powerful event fuels his rage and hurts him driving him to take actions that led to impulsive actions which may predict his future. It is filled with action and touching scenes. It expresses all boundaries of human emotions; this is an excellent teaching guide to help a lost teen find his way home again before he or she commits the unforgiving transgression and lives with the regret of it. A psychological thriller. This writer has the potential to be recognized as a remarkable author 5 stars; I recommend this book to the readers who can accept raw emotions and language to conclude with a very thoughtful powerful reality of life that went wrong. I put this one in my library.

A romance story with mystery mixed in as the past comes to meet the future; two torn lovers separated are forced to cross paths again. Will they be able to get pass their regrets and help one another save her father’s lifeblood, her brother inheritance; the family ranch.
Once again this author has the knack of pulling together a memorable romantic, complex situations and high charged hints of mystery, secrets and human emotional perils tale. Which entertain this reader as I turned each page to see what action would occur next? It is not lacking action, drama or twists, which keeps the story racing to the conclusion. The human emotional toil of Josie Thorn and sexual impact is striking right at the center of human emotions, hot and lusty as the cover. The range of human emotions; laughing, crying and fearing for the colorful characters and their pets too makes this reader’s heart race as they are confront with life and death events.
This author has a gift to bring life to her characters as a reader it was exciting to bond with the independent strong male and the feisty fiery female characters and the rest of the ranch hands. Rallying for them as they journey together to solve the mystery, forgive their past and head into their future. As they face this dilemma; they become a target of a greed plot of having their ranch sabotage by friends or enemies, threatening all their lives. . Included in the plot are highly sexual tension scenes and dark mysteries which are intertwined in between the scenes as the story unfolds all for a vendetta. Will Josephina and Jacob regret their choices or find peace in the midst of the chaos. That is the challenge of this tale. It is a heartwarming exploration into what one will do for love and forgiveness

It is a very touching soul searching story of one's journey who is lost in the world and the path one chooses to survive.

- In His Truth, the prophetic words of Stephen A Hanson, from 2010
on Dec. 25, 2011
This author wanted to share his visions and messages to the masses; to informed all to give their time and lives to the Almighty Lord in the coming New Year. For Christmas day I decided to purchase this short book to read. It is based on biblical verses and messages from the author representing the Lord about the state of chaos the world, especially America is in and her downfall if the Children do not wake up in time. He explains it is all due to confused minds, split of the political parties and other wicked trickery there is a chasm growing and the Father is asking for His children to hear his quiet voice in the wind and repent turn away from the busyness of their hectic lives. To take time to devote their energies into the scriptures and prepare for the coming of the difficult times ahead. To leave the earthly realm behind and worship the holy Father words. Come together in unity to pray for mercy. The message is the Father is asking His children to bond with him in a personal relationship and believe in Him and his promises and for the righteous to seek for the lost and help them find the the way, the truth and the life. Most important Love thy God, self and neighbor during the harsh times coming upon the horizon and to serve with praise and song for it is only temporary until we meet Him in his heavenly kingdom. If you believe, the storms will be less threatening with the Holy Spirit protecting all who believe in the impossible. Be safe, not sorry; seek your savior before the darkness sets upon the lands. It is written in a neat little package and a wonderful gift to give others to open their eyes, ears, minds and hearts to the unseen. The underlying message Have faith and strength in the coming season for your Father loves You and desires to be a merciful Father to all willing to listen to his voice.

- Cavalier's Call
on Jan. 15, 2012
An amazing tale of the 14th Century Portugal Independence
Cavalier's Call by Grant de Graf is an amazing 14th Century tale of the spirit and atmosphere that preceded Portugal's Independence. The Amazon pitch describes the story as: a court room drama that penetrates some of the deepest secrets of royal protocol. João de Aviz, the infante, leads the battle of the downtrodden against the experienced and wealthy prosecutor, Don Antonio Esteves. When João is forced to flee the palace with the woman that he loves, the daughter of his most bitter opponent, Ines Peres Esteves, matters intensify.
Cavalier’s Call is a woven tapestry of the history of Portugal’s fourteenth century kingdom with enthralling tales of its struggles towards independence. It highlights the daily rituals, traditions and lifestyle of the times. The colorful characters, the infante/royal son, second in command for the throne, makes this novel a highly suspenseful read, as it describes the rise of a kingdom in perilous times.
The story opens with the royal bond between father and the infant (royal son), ostensibly being groomed for the future throne. It is a fast-paced, heart-stimulating action adventure from beginning to end, where father challenges his son in life’s experiences, and teaches him the skills necessary to protect him and serve his kingdom, with pride and justice. It highlights all of his accomplishments and his rise to power. The novel is a complex and gripping tale, as the author describes in his YouTube trailer (link below).
The father’s and the son's mentors accomplish their mission to educate the infant in all the skills necessary to become a powerful ruler and to win Portugal’s independence. He is brought up to believe that he is to rule the Portuguese kingdom with loyalty, trust and authority, as a true royal king would, in empowering his territory. The author focuses on some focal developmental points that are experienced by the royal son in becoming a leader, by including conflict with foes, rafting mighty rivers, fencing, horsemanship, and other events that protect the country's honor and loved ones. He stops at nothing to achieve victory.
The story line includes a compelling theme of a blossoming romance with a fair maiden. However, there are obstacles in the way. Will João win his princess or lose her to a conquering mate? The reader senses the peril, as the main character and his friends fend for the weak, while they fight and challenge their foes. João continually strives to capture the woman's heart of his dreams and to deflect other challenges in his path. The question that perseveres is that with all that he has to confront, will he or will he not be victorious? Will he be a son that his father would be proud of? In all, it is a delightful story about the 14th century and life of a royal empire: Viva Portugal and her independence.
The author has the flair of penning his words to absorb the reader's mind in the scenery and actions of the story with highlights of the daily lifestyle of royalty during those times. This extends to accounts of serving one's country, to the intense training necessary to become a strong military leader, mixed with glamour and romantic visions of capturing a fair maiden's heart.
The historical fiction work was elegantly written, to the extent that I felt as though I was hypnotically journeying with the colorful characters from the novel, the infante, a fair maiden, the courts, the generals and their companions. I was part of their adventures and shared in the emotional development of the main character, from child to adult, from loyal patriot to almighty knight, from prince to future ruler of a powerful kingdom, which was always under threat and that needed capable personalities to defend her, against the threats of those times.
The YouTube Cavalier’s Call trailer describes the novel as a historic novel celebrating Portugal's independence of 1385. The story captures the mood and spirit of the era that lead to the Age of Discovery.

This short novella to this awesome author's writings Is a shocking short 66 page of delightful morbid horror stories about fallen angels, demons, lycanthropes, monsters and a disembodied hand (or is it), it is a collection of six previously published short stories about things we don’t want to let in, all anthologized for your reading pleasure. This is the introduction from the author himself.
Reading these tales sent spine tingling chills up my back and my theeth chatting as each story described interesting characters and their dilemmas they all encounter and the conclusion of each story took this reader's breath away.
This author has a natural talent to weave words into descriptive stories that pulls in the reader and make them lose themselves in the plot; the style of writing with details keeps the reader's interest and savor each word knowing the tale will end too soon. It is short but very entertaining horror taunt, a teaser to some of his full published books available in the market and as ebooks on the internet.
He is professional that he gives the reader a glimpse in his introduction into each of the story so there is no confusion just delightful reading that ends to quickly and compels the reader to Goggle this author's other works to continue the addiction to the dark and bizarre tales. He varies with his topics; so the reader can take a break and move into the next story and be satisfied with a different conculsion. It has wit and surprises in each story. He has won many adwards for horror and fiction writing and he deserves them.
from the first story in this compelling teaser of dark wicked strange tales;
Succumbing to Gravity
"It stood taller and broader than me. Great leathery wings stretched out from the
second set of scapulas. One wing in the hall, the other reached back into the room. The smoky gray skin was thick and covered in oozing boils where the ancient words had been written. It turned to me and paused, the eyes were dead, the pupils blown. The skin of the lower face had torn away and the yellow-white mandible shown through.
“Araqiêl? Is that you, little brother?” His voice rasped like a file being pulled across a steel pipe."
This is one teaser of the above story; does it made you want to explore further about this creative witty author with a dark sense of humor that leaves you scared and laughing at the same time. Highly recommend this flash fiction at it's best and his other books all available at Amazon.com and Smashwords.com and other fine retailers.

Silence is Golden; Listen to the wind and trees, your mind, messages everywhere.
In the Author's words;“
How does a promotion compare with this: to see my children grown and successful: committed to God and enjoying the peace only He can bring—to see my wife, cared for and surrounded by them, a loving family knit so close together? If I’d been promoted, it could in no way have added to this great treasure.”
“Yes, I will tell them. I will call them, and I will tell them this same message I’ve been telling you for so long…this message you chose not to hear. Why did you ignore me, dear child? I told you every day, and showed you in a thousand ways, but you were too busy to listen. How loudly must I whisper before you hear Me?”
They’re instructions, not memories—God sent me instructions in my dream. "
Above paragraphs are some of the written words by this author in this short enlightening story about listening to your inner conscious, to be still and know I am God. This author wrote a brief story about how a father worrying about his family was engrossed in the earthly realm obsessed with earning the money to pay for shelter, food and clothing for his family. So involved he missed the spiritual messages surrounding him every day, calling out for his attention. Until a promotion is taken away and he is angry at God for his misfortunate and being distracted gets into an accident.
Not to give any spoilers this reader will tell you to read to the conclusion to see the transformation this father and family go through suffering through the darkness to come into the light. This author should develop this narrative into a short story or spiritual messages.
The masses definitely need substance today to fight the fears and doubts in all our hearts. As a reader if the author develops his thoughts into more concentration messages I would read his works. There are hints of other works in the future.
It was light reading and an introduction to other works and his internet site; http://terreldor.net/
He is talented enough to write his thoughts and developed them into stories similar to Chicken Soup for the Soul. I give it four stars because it is not a book yet.
But hints there are other books are coming to Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook, Smashwords.com, iTunes, and other fine outlets: As a reader I will be looking for them.

- Walking for Peace, an inner journey
on March 07, 2012
Walking for Peace was an inspiring story about two friends who frustrated with the rat race decided to abandon it and agreed to a challenge; walking across the European continent through 17 countries hiking along the path the apostle's and servants of the pass travelled seeking the mysteries of inner peace and question the unknown. Along their journey their beliefs are shatter and replace with strangers kindness and gifts of gratitude that brings tears and joy to their hearts and a new found knowledge of the spiritual truths.
The woman is bond to her beliefs deny all religious and faith beliefs stating she is walking only as a message that a person may change others inner thoughts and assist them to open their minds to the possibility of transforming the negative to the positive ideals and change the course of their destiny.
Mony is of Lebanon descent and was raised to be leery of all due to the conflict in the Middle East. She is skeptical and raised to be enriched with the simple pleasures of life; shelter, food, warmth and clothing; along her trek she is meet with obstacles that could of broke her will but acknowledges she needs to strip herself of all worldly opinions, beliefs and hurts and believe in her inner conscious to guide her to the right path of enlightenment and spread the message of peace.
The man, Alberto starts as a friend who is also called to abandoned the earthly realm and seek peace but also inner wisdom to the purpose of life and what is beyond the earthly realm. He walks as a pilgrim and declares his truth of finding the light, the Supreme Being inside each of another and to share it with others; break down the walls of hatred and distrust among the warring nations and people in general. There is conflict between the two characters which adds excitement to the story. This is a complex tale with many messages intertwined in the pages; the final message unconditional love will conquer all.
Strange coincidental here, I am a Mahoney too, from USA, supernatural is working here too. I really enjoyed this story.
- Multiple Sclerosis, an Enigma
on May 08, 2012
This story is a honest look inside the world of a multiple sclerosis patient and woman trying to adjust to the MonSter. It is a good beginner's guide about plotting through the world of auto immune diseases.
She is honest and refreshing sharing her thoughts with the readers and tells the pros and cons of this vague disease. She has a strong support system and knows how to advocate to the physicians for the treatment all ill individuals deserved.
I like the upbeat positive attitude she is developing along her journey to transform her life from a Type A personality to a mellow lady with I do not care attitude and lives for each day.
She was brave enough to put in the Almighty's hands and release herself from Western medication and looking for an better approach to deal with the symptoms of loss muscle and cognitive capabilities.
She explains how it affects her and her husband and the adjustments they made to learn how to dance and not be furious with a personal storm some of us experience everyday.
Kudos for sharing your experiences and trials with others who might of just received the news "You have MS". This is a good book to start to comes to terms with the diagnosis of any autoimmune condition.

This is a delightful fairy kingdom tale where once upon a time there was a supreme being who thought of creating a world and was lonely so he created four races of dragons, one for water, one for fire, one for earth and the last for wind. They were of the same race except for their abilities. The world was missing one vital element light and an incident occurs to allow this to be created only through passing the powers to be to the next heir of the kingdom. But for the last ten years there was a loophole and the throne was abducted by the darkness, an embittered daughter who was the fire Queen she was able to claim the title upon transference of the throne and taught the kingdom about the emotions of hatred and she declared laws that all are inferior except the pure.
The kingdom was divided and they used the lies against others. Until one the event when a dragon and human children became victims of the Queen’s hatred and no one would protect them until the mighty son of the fire dragon and others colorful characters united to rescue all from her bullying them.
The plot continues when the exchange occurs and the ruling throne was abandoned and the evil Fire Queen sneaks in and took authority. Now she was full of hatred and demanded all inferior children and humans were to become slaves to her and the other superiors of the kingdom. The earth dragon and human girl became friends along the mighty Delbralfi son of the Fire Queen.
This trio are the main characters who break the hold over them and the kingdom. The inferior earth child dragon, a healer who is not allowed to use her powers is a slave she uses her wits to live for another day. She acts cheery around the embittered Queen faking her happiness which confused the Queen. Thinking how a useless creature could be happy around others full of hate.
The human was unique and now she by the head leader of water, the father Deyraeno of the five hatchling who was not afraid of the Fire Queen decided to break the laws and invited Jena, the human child to the ceremony of bonding with the hatchings in a special ceremony where other wait to bond with a hatchling. Everyone in the kingdom believed humans could never bond but all are in for a surprise as she enters into the leyr to begin the ceremony.
In the author’s words
“The first thing Jena noticed was Rulsaesan, the mother of the eggs. She was hard to miss, as her skin had a vibrant saffron glow, and on the end of her tail was a bright orb that lit up the entire Leyr Grounds. The orb symbolized that she was a Child of Light, and if she had her proper title, she would be called Leyrque, the heart of the Sandleyr and true ruler of the Onizards.
But when the former Leyrque died under mysterious circumstances, no Onizard gained the form of a Child of Light and, since Rulsaesan could not control her powers of ultimate empathy alone, the Fire Queen had taken over the Sandleyr”.
In the ceremony, the son of fire was able to bond with one of the hatchling. Next it was Jena’s turn.
In the author’s words;
"drown! Jena debated running toward Deyraeno, but stopped when she realized that in the confusion, everyone had ignored the last hatchling, a Child of Wind. He was already in water close to his neck, and he was desperately trying to get toward the shallower water near Jena. Quickly, she ran out until the water was deep…”
Jena rescue the fourth dragon but the 5th hatchling injured where the wall fell upon his leg was left to die in the raising rain storm waters. The father was scheming to rescue his baby against the Queen’s rules but first he had to save the human and hide her for risking her life to save a baby. The injured called out to her and bravely she jumped into the high waters and rescued the injured creature. This creature became her bonded and ally. Now they both need to go into hiding for disobeying the Queen.
The adventure continues from there along with lessons of morality and what actions are right and wrong and the consequences of hate to love, good vs. evil and to accept everyone for who they are, do not judged a book or a dragon and human as indicated in this cute little fable. Highly recommend this tale for all ages.

"Who am I, where am I going, what state j'ère? How can I tell? Do you know? I am a small drop in the ocean of writers of ours".
This reader looking for a distract found this. Poetry, and so enthralled by the depth of reaching into the writer's core and soul, translated with goggle assistance the French author's Bio as the first lines and all I can declare is wow and so touch I am sharing with other authors @ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Message-To-My-Children-2-Fantasy-Escapism/103661739691732. - Lowcountry Ghosts: Stories of Alice Flagg, Confederate Blockade Runners, and Haunted Beads
on July 08, 2012
This is a historical tour of the past about South Carolina, this author is describing folks, history, past memories by two elephants with memories of the past and are story tellers. As a reviewer below states "two sixty-ish southern ladies in sturdy shoes", Miss Genevieve and the author's Cousin Corrie Dusenbury. speak about ghost legends at the Brookgreen Gardens in Merrells Inlet, of S. Carolina. It has character and is descriptive of the old South, the elegance of sitting on a porch sipping lemonades and reminiscent about three ghost tales. This is a Historical review if the author expands into a more horror details since that is what the readers are looking for, then it would have more interest to readers who like to be chill to their bones. Otherwise it was entertaining to take a step through the time machine and observed the former glory days of the story tellers. I Apologized to author, this was lost among my emails, so I am responding now and will share book at Facebook link https://www.facebook.com/pages/Message-To-My-Children-2-Fantasy-Escapism/103661739691732 for other to review and see other books written by this author.
- Death By Coffee
on July 28, 2012
Such a brief story but very powerful one full with love and hope. We all need to believe in the impossible to live the possible life on the earthly realm. It is encouraging to have hope and faith as they are the only connection we have to sanity as we visit here and spiritual grow in our evolution. This book has insight and faith that every event in our lives, from joy to sorrow is a lesson learn. I thank the author for sharing such a thoughtful sad but peaceful tale. Bless her for writing this to shine light in the darkness and to give her readers to hold on to belief beyond human reason even in the darkness for all is good when God and Jesus Christ is with you. You are never alone.
- Outside My Window
on July 28, 2012
This author explores possession, she has an attracted style of writing chilling tales to lure the reader in and gets the blood pumping, then ends too quickly, giving the reader a glimpse of a plot in the works and this reader recommend she should continue to develop the story. It has potential.
- "Jesus Lives"
on July 28, 2012
This was a spiritual story about a loved one knowing it was their time to depart earth and arranged in their quiet loving way to have a messenger come to the comfort of her husband and help him see the light, the truth and walk towards the path of awakening.
- Yellow Promise
on July 28, 2012
Out of the short collection of stories this author has written this one is a five stars. It is about two sisters separated from each other in a terrorist attack. In the destruction praying for her sister she found a unlikely sign, in perfect form and knows with her belief and heart everything will be okay.
- Just Call Me Jake
on Sep. 09, 2012
In the author's words;
“About noticing things, like my being cold. It was very nice of you. I was wet and cold, but my having a bad day is really not your doing. My life is going downhill and today I hit a new low.” She had a forced flippant tone to her voice, but he couldn’t see her eyes as she arranged her coat on the back of the chair. Underneath she had on a flowing blouse with an abstract pattern of browns, black and white, topped off by a black velveteen vest. Her outfit reminded him of a gypsy. The waitress topped off his coffee. “Could I have some coffee, too, please?” she asked the waitress, before turning back to Jake. “I didn’t catch your name earlier.” “Jake Hardy” he stretched out his hand automatically. Marian wondered how her life had taken such a sudden turn. She felt like she was being blown in a new direction by forces beyond her control, like in a dream, only she knew she was awake. She felt a twinge of regret when they pulled into the driveway of an old gray house with peeling paint."
These are two paragraphs out of this delightful story about choices people made every day. The Pastor Jake could of pass up Marian, a young woman standing in the pouring rain and was lost and angry at life and the Almighty. He could of splash her and went on his way. Some inner voice tugged at his heart and he stopped and picked up the lost child, woman with many talents and assisted her to pick up her life and give her opportunities in his choir and church that opened doors for her and help him learn about his own insight as well as others. This delightful story, I found on a dark night and saw it was a Christian fiction and published on my birthday, it was like a calling from the Almighty.
Please stop what you doing and read this short tale for there is a message about love, being lost and found and not be afraid for I know you before you were born and I will always be with you, my Child.
Marian has a shady boyfriend and is in trouble along comes a protector, and friend who is investigated her back ground and trying to figure how to help her escape from her past. This book has harsh realities and Marian has allot to face before she can find herself and come back home to the Almighty. It is enjoyable, has action, drama and suspense. I recommend this book to anyone who has doubts if any transgression is too harsh, it is not and open your heart to be forgiven and not to be afraid of challenges and change. One door closes and another one opens.

- Runaway Princesses
on Sep. 19, 2012
Runaway Princesses was an adorable fairy tale about two sisters who were raised in a royal family and disrespected many people and lessons they were taught. They were divas and framed the lower class and had them punishment for slight infractions. Until they became bored and decided to run away to the land of happy children they saw from the roof of their castle.
They travelled along the road towards the town and tried to hide their plan to visit this town a few miles from the castle, and had to hide from hunters, the king's men and others. When they arrived they were in for a rude awakening and met shady as well as kind hearted people and learn many valuable lessons in their journey to discover happiness and many moral lessons away from home and when they returned to the kingdom, they had to prove who they were.
This story was cute, hilarious and geared towards young children. It had colorful portraits drawn by the creative author with computer graphics and it was a pleasure to read. This is a keepsake in EBook or hard cover form.
In the author’s words;
“Thank you, Missus Red-hair,” Bruschetta said, running her fingers through very short tufts of hair. “This feels…, short.”
“Yes, I am grateful: the itch is gone.” Biscottini said, smiling, feeling relieved.
“Mother, can we sell this?” Rosehip asked.
“If Bananamash and Buttermilk agree to do so, we can sell their locks of hair to the factory in Cauldron Town, where they make mattresses.”
She turned to the princesses, “You can buy material to make new dresses with the money, or anything you like, for I notice you are wearing petticoats, poor darlings.”
The princesses nodded their heads.
“We agree,” they replied immediately.
Following a quick breakfast of gruel with a little honey, and it continues on ….
It was a sweet and enlightening tale and I would selected it as a gift to give to my children and grandchildren for it is written with care and concern to be shared with many. The graphics are a bonus and were a delightful addition to the story and .they could be used to teach art lessons by hand or research together how one could use computer technology to create their own pictures and story or to read and shared with your loved ones for entertainment.
- Velvet Dawn (The Red Velvet Trilogy)
on Nov. 23, 2012
This author has the knack to write about the supernatural, vampires, wolves and shifters as fiery fighters who are enjoying the night life offer by glamorous owners of the ritzy nightclub, the Red Velvet on Halloween night. Some shifters, vampires and others are on edge and hyper attentive of the rumours of the evil insurgents were up to no good, and prepared for battle. In the midst of hot sensual steamy trysts, and the suspenseful hinting of an attack was coming, the conflicts, and events build up and the tension and the conclusion was an explosive climax in more ways then one. The question can the female vampire shifter defend herself against the hungry zombies or will her new lover come to the rescue to save her? This is a teaser to the author's other book available on Amazon, A Vampire's Touch. This novella was a lustful and action packed tale and supernatural as well as paranormal readers will definitely enjoy this one and the stories continuing the plot.
- An Angels Ascent
on Dec. 26, 2012
This story was remarkable, powerful and brought tears to my eyes. The supernatural elements of vampires, fairy creatures, demons and witches caught my interest. Then she put in all the faiths in an intrigue way and created an entertaining but possibility of twists and conflict of the world ending and earth was tired, want to be reincarnated as a powerful goddess, coming out of a witch in love with a vampire, and I was lost. The book was so magical, it was a gritty yet so imaginative with allot of research and conflict. She touched upon the agony and sacrifices one faces and ask would they give up their lives for another?.
I wanted to go back and re-read and ponder about the characters and the love, they as we, the human race have for one another and to forgive our enemies to heal and be able to fight the darkness in our lives. This is an interest concept as the saved ones will go to an secluded island and prepare for the final battle. It is jazzy, modern yet refreshing story with a touch of innocent which readers need these days. I highly recommend this author and her books.
- Ghostly Gig, A Lost Souls Short Story
on Feb. 10, 2013
In the author's words and chilled this reader to the bones,
“Is it locked?”
“There’s no lock on the handle.”
“Okay, turn on a light. You’ll be able to see the door better.”
“I can’t!” Kim cried. “I tried. The switch doesn’t work. There’s something wrong with it. And… and… the ghost meter was spiking like crazy right before my flashlight died!”
“Don’t panic,” Vienna calmed. “Just hang on. I’ll get you out.”
Creak…creak…creak…
Just then Vienna heard footsteps on the stairs. She let go of the brass doorknob and shined her flashlight at the staircase. “Who’s there?”
No one answered.
“What is it?” Kim asked. “Is someone out there? Vienna?”
“Shhhh!” Vienna hushed. She tiptoed to the staircase and quietly went down a few of the stairs. Gripping the railing, she stopped and listened. Silence.
Then, out of nowhere, a shadow that was blacker than black, raced up the stairs. Vienna squeezed her eyes shut as the shadow zoomed through her body, blasting her with ice cold air, chilling her to the bone. Opening her eyes, Vienna spun around and watched it whiz through the door into the room that Kim was locked in." This paragraph is in the author's words, need this reader say any more. Short and a delightful supernatural tale not just for Halloween, could be for a snowy day or a hot breezy day, if you love spooky, ghosts and supernatural, then this book as well as others by this author will catch the reader's attention and it is Free. Definitely an uprising author with many talents and it appears she writes in various genres. Check this book and her other books out, this may be the one of the authors that will stimulate your mind and enrich your reading library.
- Huna, Ancient Miracle Healing Practices and The Future of Medicine
on Feb. 15, 2013
As a reader and an individual ill with physicians diagnosed as progressive MS, I was looking for an inspirational book, about Eastern Health, not Western. Tired of all the misdiagnoses, the surgeries and all the side effects of the medications. I started to research ancient healing practices. Huna, from Hawaiians and ancient times practices, is an natural healing energy we all have ingrained in our vessels and minds. Thus the saying mind over body, can be the great practitioner of healing an illness, condition or maintain good health.
As I read through the book, alot of the concepts and knowledge rang a inner bell in my conscious and as a reader and patient I can testified that my mind has been negative lately and that it does affect one's health.
There are some very informed knowledge in this book, and it can be a refreshing starting guide to take charge of your mind and help your body heal or increase your vitality instead of asking and crying "Why Me?" It has techniques and information to tap into a hidden source to improve your health, and helps one to look forward to discovering more about yourself, as a person and patient as you shed the negative shadows and skeletons out of your mind and give the body and being the strength to recover from many years of abuse. It is written by a physician and it is recommend that you do not stop taking medications or visiting the doctor, but integrating this Eastern theories in your schedule.
In the author's words; "The Huna concept of illness matches very well the work of psychoneuroimmunobiology researchers. We are our thoughts. In 1637, René Descartes, the father of modern scientific theory from which modern medicine arises wrote, 'I think therefore I am.' He was not trying to prove that we existed but in writing this he opened the door to recognize that our thoughts are import and that they do in many ways shape us and the life we live. Our thoughts can either heal us and help us grow and evolve or they hinder us and hurt us, mold us in a way that causes illness and leads to more and more suffering. The Huna master recognized these hurts, pain and dysfunctions as important causes of the illnesses we humans suffer.
Clearly, Huna works both for self healing and for facilitation of the skills and capacities of all physicians. It empowers us to positively affect our own life and body through how we live and what we think. Huna can and does also demonstrate how illness and disease can take hold of us and undermine who we are.
With a deeper understanding of Huna we can see that illness is an Intelligent act of the body in response to our thoughts, feelings, emotions and lifestyle. As we will soon see, illness is most commonly, but not entirely, mediated through the stress mechanism. For our faulty beliefs and lies act against us not only on a cellular level but through the tension they create in the body, stress."
As a reader I highly recommend this book for all interest in maintaining and improving your mind, body and spirit to be united and bring balance back to your being.
- Angels Cried
on March 26, 2013
As a reader, reading each story and poem, and as an observer, observing the artwork in this anthology, my heart bleeds, my eyes cry, and my soul soars. There are contributions from authors and artists around the world. This book is insightful, thoughtful and an inspiration through expressions of grief.
There are stories of observers, of life experiences and of anguish. Some stories are dedicated to the angels, by singing their names in print. The authors wanted to express their solidarity and acknowledgment to the grieving as well to raise the consciousness of humanity, and to demonstrate how pain affects us all.
There are 40 authors who have created dedications to all of the angels that departed from us too early. These stories are an accumulation of the welling pain of so many senseless brutal actions against innocent people, and a tribute written for the latest angels and all others who departed too early.
This is a treasure and could be a healing balm to the families and all affected by this. It is my hope that this anthology may be one of the many steps towards action to stop violence. So please preview, buy, and go to sleep tonight knowing you invested in the school fund and became secret angels to heal the community wounded by this senseless and brutal offence.
This powerful anthology was created by authors and artists who wanted to express their emotions, and at the same time assist the families and survivors with donations. Thus, this labor of love was born, and all proceeds are donated to the school fund managed by the United Way. This is an investment that will help many.
The anthology is filled with light and dark expressive stories and poems, which work to bring attention to unite people in this time of grief, and help them heal. Hopefully others learn, and offer kind actions, or at least take a look at a deep and insightful book such as this.
- Destiny Unfulfilled
on April 25, 2013
Destiny Unfilled by Seight Byproxy, and edited By Stephen L. Wilson
It is a short novella. It describes the scientific methods how the human beings were created and over time their DNA was transformed form one level of energy to higher levels of energy and knowledge. The masses are being monitor from a higher being and species. S8 is their relay technician and observer. The other character in the story is the controlled vessel, a human who was to be call as a messenger.
It is written as a laboratory experiment, yet to this author it was an alert that the earth is under the microscope and if the solution is not resolve then doom's day may be around the corner.
It explains that earth is an observation station and that the One is among the masses, and he or she needs to be in contact with the higher realm to prove that humanity is worth saving and allow to exist to move into the higher dimension. That the one will be advanced in all fields of education, physics, laws of metaphysics, mathematical, and other advanced studies, of telekinesis, and paranormal sixth sense awareness. Have an open mind to all the distorted beliefs of the religious beliefs and the corruption that plagues the earth.
He or she will question all decisions made by governmental and national leaders and protest against the cruelty of wars. They will be able to tap into non- definite unseen energies forces to move the planet toward a higher awakening. That the supernatural occurrences from the crop circles to other unexplained occurrences happen through the energy forces hidden in the universe and is utilized by higher beings as a test, to bring the One to come to them.
The higher beings walked among humanity before civilization began and when the experiment went wrong, and the energy decreased, negative energy and regression actions came from humanity, instead of expanding their minds, then the human race was extinguished and some survive, to continue the experiment with alter genetics, to be more advance then the rest of humankind.
The threats on the horizon like the Y2K of 2000 crash and the 2012 end of the world may of pass but if humanity does not cooperate with the aliens and they cannot find the One residing on this planet, the experiment will fail and so will the existence of the human race.
It is an interesting concept that a force above the 3rd realm we resided in is controlling the experiment and if the One, the earthly master does not come of hiding with all gifts intact, to save the masses, Doom's day may not be that far off.
In the author's words:
"Humans are the only hominid to have 23 pairs of chromosomes. All other hominids have 24. It is clear that this is due to the fusion of two chromosomes in humans. They are fused together end to end, creating a unique chromosome with equally unique properties [Figs. 2, 3]. Little is known by the MNO colony regarding the function of this odd union. The ability to manipulate specific DNA was a result of the hybrids’ scientific technology - i.e., S8’s use of energy so that the Anunnaki science would advance the MNO experiment toward The Objective.
The Anunnaki were programmed by S8 to create this technology. By fusing the chromosomes of all humanoids, the hybrids knew that the creatures would then possess empathy, compassion and trust, among other traits useful for mass mind control."
This reader believes that transforming DNA's reconstruction is occurring, as birth defects are a reality, why then not the ability to untapped the dominant mind and discover a secret code ingrain in our DNA structure and may be waiting for the right sign, may it be spiritual or an alien sound. This book is definitely a topic to investigate, for you never know what lies beyond the unseen. Life continues on, and energies as well as intelligence may be the answer and key that may unlock the secret.
Be daring and venture into reading this and other works and open your mind to all, and become prepare just in case.
