Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grow up in one of the five boroughs of the City of New York, the Bronx's lower ghettoes. As a child my sanctuary was the library and the Catholic Church, to escape the poverty, crime and filth. I was taught the Catholicism of Christian beliefs. The Church and faith has been attacked due to hidden crimes of some priests, so I was lost and did not have respect for the religious aspects of this sector and started a faith journey of my own. I researched different faiths and the new age, all leading to an awakening of a deeper spiritual understanding. That religion was not the answer, the answers lay with each one of us and our connection to a higher force, be God, Jesus or other saviors. I felt the world lack spiritual understanding and needed material to awaken their inner light to start their own journey to fulfillment. Thus spiritual fantasy stories being born from my childhood experience and my wild muse. Written for entertainment and maybe to hear a message to light the reader's own flame of light and bring a smile to their faces. Thank you for stopping by and may the Smashwords authors be your light in the darkness.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Sharing and helping others to find answers to questions about their spirituality. Help others who feel lost, alone or misunderstood by society about themselves, ideas or beliefs. I believe there is a supreme being or divine spark unseen and seen surrounding us. We are never alone, we are loved, for we were create to live, breath and believe the impossible is the possible on a amazing planet. Our purpose to bring gifts to humanity and experience divine love on Earth and in the afterlife. We are teachers, mentors and one family living a spiritual existence in a human vessel. We are here to help raise consciousness and used the arts such as writing to express these messages, and never to give up. The greatest joy is to know someone benefited from my knowledge and sharing what they gleam be it love or another emotion though my creativity.
